Heard this on the way home last night and loved it: a new Kris Kristofferson rendition of a song by the late Shel Silverstein. And if you're not sold by that already, what the hell's wrong with you?

Yee-haw! That was great! I knew I liked Shel Silverstein, but thought I didn't like Kris Kristofferson. Wrong again.

Both Silverstein and Kristofferson sometimes depress me - because I don't have their level of talent. But I love 'em both anyway.

I hadn't heard Kristofferson's version of "The Winner" before, so thanks!

Vince, Kristofferson's version of "The Winner" was done for Twistable, Turnable Man: A Musical Tribute To The Songs Of Shel Silverstein, which apparently only came out last month. I wouldn't have heard it either, but for the fact that satellite radio is kind of awesome (one of the DJs played it on The Loft as I was driving home from the supermarket).
