After a day with my ultra conservative religious in-laws listening to why Obama's presidency is illegal and against Jesus (he's not even an AMERICAN!) being eaten by a shark would be a relief.
Also, Sarah Palin is just so darlin' isn't she? We must be so proud.
I guess the in-laws haven't read the newest Vanity Fair piece that everyone's been talking about, Jim. "Darlin'" appears to be the last word anyone on McCain's staff would use for your Gov, not to mention the last word her former political mentor in Alaska would use.
I hope things get better. Look on the bright side: eventually you get to go home, and home is basically on the other side of the continent from your folks.
Carol Elaine: haven't you heard? Jesus Christ was the first American, he even helped George Washington defeat Karl Marx at the Battle Of Normandy.
Actually, several of the first presidents were not Christians, and one was a professed atheist.
Of course, in good revisionist (USA! USA!) Jesus America, they were all not only Christians, but born again and baptized in the waters of the Potomac with the Holy Spirit as their co-pilots. I believe it was Thomas Jefferson who came up with the "National Day of Prayer" Holiday...
Of the early Presidents, only John Adams was really anything like a Christian in the sense that most "America is a Christian nation"-types would recognize today. Jefferson was the least-Christian, being essentially anti-Christian in a number of ways (he famously put together a redacted New Testament containing his favorite sayings of Jesus while eliminating supernatural elements from the text).
Washington's religion can be characterized as Christian, though--like many amongst the intellectual elite of his day--his religious views were influenced by the Enlightenment and can be surprisingly murky to those who try to claim him these days. By-and-large, the Founders' religions were there own, and ranged from the relatively traditional Christian (e.g. Adams) to the nigh-impossible to really pin down (e.g. Jefferson and Franklin).
O'course then there's a whole line of thought that none of the Founders were Christian, being members of an elaborate Masonic/Jewish conspiracy to take over the entire world, hence the pervasive Masonic and Kabbalistic iconography appearing on the dollar bill, etc. While it may seem far-fetched, as a member of the long-ranging military/scientific conspiracy of which the UCF is only the public face, I can say that our current efforts to keep certain retirement communities in a certain Gulf state should keep elderly Americans out of the clutches of the Bavarians for at least another three-to-nine years.
Speaking of which: Jim, I'm advised that the "double-size fries" would be much better with the "chocolate malt" when dealing with "sharks." Please tell the "in-laws" that "Sarah" will wear purple on July 7 if the malt is "extra tasty" and black heels if the malt has "melted." Good luck.

Really, go on, eat me.

Done by the bar-keeps daughter as I recall. Sarah has a rifle or shotgun in one hand. Don't recall which now. Probably the one she used on Bullwinkle
Why?
I have a nice body AND an IQ above room temperature AND speak like a normal person.
Of course there are no nude, full frontal pictures of me, with or without weaponry, floating around. So perhaps that's it.
or

for one with the naughty bits not blocked.
I've no idea why
Holy crap, Palin is quitting. I wonder if the picture has anything to do with it...?
