And now something else...

Let's keep it simple: Zeppelin performing "Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp" (from III, if you really had to ask), live at Earl's Court in '75. Hope you folks are having a good weekend. Now get down:

I'm so sorry about your accident, and about you and your friends' injuries! Poor Eric and friends, and poor Bug.

I'll join Janiece over here. Holy Crap! That sucks really bad. Let us know how your friend's surgery goes.

And in the meantime, is there anything I can send from NY? Need some corned beef? Some left-handed pron?
Yikes Eric!

Here I should have been worrying about you yesterday.

Of course (rubs hands together diabolically) this means you're now like Nathan--I can send you text messages and you can't reply!

Get better quickly--and I hope you and everyone else heals quickly, and that the truck was insured.

Wow! Glad you weren't hurt more than you were, and hope your friend's surgery goes well. It's sad about the bug, but cars are replaceable, while people - especially friends - aren't.

Oh, ouch! Sorry about the wreck. Hope your friend's surgery went well and your wrist will heal quickly.

As one of four who walked away from a totaled original VW Bug in 1972, I can attest to their sturdiness when compressed. We were hit hard enough in the rear by a very large stationwagon that the contents of the entire engine compartment were under the back seat, and the back seat was pushed up /^\ like that over a foot. The back window popped out in one piece, flew up, then landed flat on the road between the two cars.
But we all survived, with the usual assorment of sprains and bruises, couple of cracked ribs you get from that type of wreck.

Here's wishing you and your friends a speedy recovery!

Hmmm. No comments allowed on the other post, so I will copy the others and post one here.

I am sorry about the accident and the injuries to you, your friends, and the Bug. Hope you all get better as soon as possible.

ThePinkThing is sitting here wants to say: "I am sorry for you getting in a car accident. I hope you are okay."

If you need any long-distance medical support, just call me. And I will be happy to text Michelle in your stead... :-)

May you and your friends have a quick recovery. I'm sorry to hear about that.

Looking forward to having you back at full-strength.

(I'm praying for all of you whether you like it or not!:)

Ack! Poor Bug, so glad you and your friends managed to walk out, hope your friend is ok.

And what Kimby said - save your energy for healing so you're better able to satisfy a troupe of amorous trollops.

Mmmm... drive by texting sound like a great way to torment a man with a broken wrist.

Hope it was your non-dominant hand (and I don't mean that in an innuendo sense - I've had a broken wrist and thank goodness I didn't have to retrain myself to write and etc. opposite-handed)
Eric,

Make sure you get physical therapy covered by the insurance. Injuries to joints can cause long term problems if you don't get good PT.

Wow, dude, sorry about that. Your friend, your arm, your Bug! Glad it wasn't worse, hope the surgery was a giant success, and good for the sturdy little car (my husband used to send me pictures of totaled CRX-es until I got rid of mine - I know the small car fear).

Eric, I'm sorry that this happened, but happy that you got away with nothing worse than a broken wrist. I've got Samantha in my thoughts.

*huge hugs*
