Rollins Band, "Liar"
To be fair, there was a good bit of distortion and dishonesty from both sides. What makes Romney's seem a little more egregious isn't just that I don't like him nor that he was on the attack and made more claims, but also that the new version of Romney being "reintroduced" to the American people would be on the attack if he had to go back in time and debate himself at the primaries. E.g. he was all about repealing all of the Affordable Care Act but now he'd keep some of its provisions (maybe, sort of).
O'course, it remains to be seen, whether this will go against him or not. Honesty has never been a prerequisite to the office, urban legends about cherry trees and chasing customers down to give them their spare change notwithstanding. In fact, speaking of that, the last President to be considered unimpeachable in his honesty took a bullet to the back of the head, draw what lesson you can from that.
Another month to go of this extraordinary lying, and then we can get back to the ordinary, run-of-the-mill lying. I know I'm not the only person looking forward to it.
