"I believe my throat hurts..."

Janiece Murphy, over at Hot Chicks Dig Smart Men, started a mini-trend of writing posts inspired by NPR's "This I Believe Feature." It's a good idea (and Janiece's post, if you haven't read it yet, is worth checking out) and I don't mean to make light of it in any way when I say that when I think of the NPR feature or a statement of belief in general, that I can't help thinking "I believe in coyotes and time as an abstract." But I guess that's the kind of thing that crosses your mind when you were fourteen in 1986.
