Your daily moment of awwwww....

It's a baby porcupine! With hiccups (the tiny intermittent squeaks)! Eating a banana!

Awwwwwwwww....

Oh how precious! The porcupine is adorable. I agree that this weekend has been about perfect. I don't know how to tell you this but I started the new Grisham novel!I keep waiting for my son's first novel but that hasn't happened yet. Love the new picture also. I recognize the location. Almost as good as Darwin.

Love,
Mom

Isn't the internet wonderful? There's nothing like spending a minute and a half watching a baby porcupine eat a banana...while still wearing P.J.'s.

Where would I be without the web?

:D

Wait. What's the "Awww.."? The video or the first comment? XD

(Got a little lipstick on your cheek, there, Eric. heh, heh, heh)

Banana? In the wild, porcupines often raid banana plantations, stealing entire braces of the tasty fruit and dragging them back into the jungle. Their squeaking hiccups can be heard echoing eerily throughout the rain forest for hours afterward.

Also, what Jeff said. Dude, it's your mom. Straighten up, everybody be cool.

The way the little feller goes to town on that slice, I find your recitation of facts strangely credible, Mr. Jim. Furthermore, I find that it ought to be true, and therefore it is.

As for embarrassment--naaaaah. I'll save that for when she starts her own blog and posts naked baby pictures of me.

Oh, Eric's mom -- would you start a blog and populate it with embarrassing pictures and stories about Eric? I can promise that you would have a whole bunch of regular visitors...

What Vince said - and especially if you have a picture of baby Eric eating a banana slice and getting the hiccups....

:)
I'm telling the marmosets.

Also? Totally up for pictures of Eric as a baby.

Do you have one where he's upended a bowl of spaghetti on his head and fallen asleep in his highchair?

Bet this isn't going the way you visualized when you posted it, is it, Eric?

Blogging Rule #1: There is no safe subject.
Blogging Rule #2: If your mom comments on your blog, you will be ridiculed. This is the law.
Blogging Rule #3: Once your mom comments, we are no longer allowed to make "So's your mom" jokes. And really, where's the fun in that?

Jim, first rule of trial lawyering is you never ask a question you don't know the answer to. Same principle goes when you write something like "I'll save that for when she starts her own blog and posts naked baby pictures of me." I.e. I was either a fool to type that or I knew exactly what I was setting the ball up for and wasn't disappointed by the resulting volley.

I'll let you judge which one of those might have been in effect. ;-)

P.S.
Mom was told there would be something cute up today after she e-mailed me a video of a cat grooming a fawn before curling up to sleep next to it.

I'm more than secure enough in my masculinity at this late age to deal with t3h cut3n355.
