Driving. To a conference. Today. No blog for you. "Sweethearts" by Camper Van Beethoven for you. Live. December 29, 2007.

Best song about Ronald Reagan ever. Enjoy.

Blogging may be irregular through Friday, but I'll try to pop something up every day if I can. If I can't--have a good week!

ooh. Nice. I loves me the Camper Van Beethoven.

Best song ever about Patty Hearst. And they say and spell my name correctly.

Hey! Wait! Are CVB back together!! Oh my God! Why haven't anyone told me? But I guess they won't give any concerts on this side of the pond...

I remember Camper from the 80's. me and my siblings just loved them. But I was too young to come with them when they went to see CVB live =(.

Best song? Must be "Take the Skinheads Bowling" or "One of these days".

Yep, Rebelcat, CVB--with the original, classic lineup (not the Key Lime Pie lineup)--reunited on a lark to record a cover of Fleetwood Mac's Tusk (the whole album, not just the title track), had such a blast doing it they recorded and released a new album (New Roman Times) two or three years ago and have been touring pretty regularly since. Times is a decent album and (if they're not in your neighborhood) there are tons of good bootlegs out there to be downloaded.

I almost embedded "Take The Skinheads Bowling" instead of "Sweethearts," but the "Sweethearts" clip was too good. (There was also a great YouTube clip of "The Day That Lassie Went To The Moon" and "Seven Languages" back-to-back that I almost embedded instead.)

My own personal favorite song of theirs might be "She Divines Water," but there are too many to choose from and "Her Favorite Fruit" or "Skinheads" or "Where The Hell Is Bill?" might win on a different day.
